Year in review
2013 was monumental in the life of the Pool Checkers/Draughts community, for the first time one of our players, Mwaaza Sakala of Zambia, competed in the World Championship in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Another great event was the addition of the Pool Checkers room on the Playdraughts.com where the battles between players of several countries began.
Players hit the books (in the new e-library), played against Russian grandmasters (Kirillov and Anikeev) and brought the knowledge to their countrymen.

It was an invitation for others to join in and add their perspectives, what the 2013 meant for them.

True Jake, many of us have benefited a lot and I must mention that we are still benefiting . I am fully convinced that Without the Pool Checkers Community I was not going to grasp the news about the Draughts 64 Championship. Not only that, talk of the Library, Puzzles and many educative and informative discussions coming form the draughts Community have really been an eye-opener to many of us who were very much behind in the world of draughts.
